General

The way mail service works on Internet has as a consequence that all your mails should go through our mail server. We strongly believe in privacy for ourselves, and we apply thoses rules to our users. We will never give any information to third parties without an official warrant. If someone request informations about one of our users, we would inform that user someone has requested informations about him.

If security and privacy is a real concern for you, you should use encryption tools similar to gnupg. Anything else would be useless.

Detected SPAMs

In case you have a anti-spam solution activated on uucpssh, you are able to choose what happens to the detected SPAMs. You can either store it localy, forward it to another email address, or let it go through and still be delivered to the email account. Whatever option you choose, we delete detected SPAM after 7 days. If you don't want SPAM to be localy stored, we advise you to unselect that option. If you dont want to loose email, you can either unactivate the spam filtering, or choose to deliver SPAMs.

Mail log

Any mail server has common system logs. Thoses logs include the IP where the mail was from, which sender and to which recipient it has been requested to be delivered (even rejected for whatever reason). Thoses logs are kept for at most a month, to detect hack or abuse attempt.

Specific request

If you want for personnal reasons delete your account on uucpssh, please use the contact form or send a mail to the list and specify your login. If your account still has domain hosted on uucpssh, the account will not be deleted.
Please change your DNS before and then request your account to be deleted.
