Get Help

There are few ways to get help about the uucpssh service. You can either choose the IRC way or the mailing lists. Premium users may use the MSN contact they received while subscribing. If you don't know if you are a Premium user, then you are not.

If you need help to configure UUCP on your operating system, we provide a document for Linux and another one for MacOSX.

Mailing list

We use mailing lists as a way for users to help each other, and to get in touch with you in case of problem.

  1. uucpssh-announce (subscribe) : for announcement (low-traffic list)
  2. uucpssh-users (subscribe) : for user support

The uucpssh-announce list is mandatory for our users. Users who didn't subscribe to that list will get their account removed without further notice. We advise you to subscribe with an email address which is not hosted through uucpssh, in case something important happens (it never did yet).

IRC

Few folks close to the uucpssh service do idle on the freenode IRC network on the #uucpssh channel. Please stop by if you need any help, but don't stay there forever as it's considered a private channel by the few current users, and would be considered rude to keep idling if you haven't asked previously.

Web Form

If you have a domain currently hosted on uucpssh and if for any reasons your email doesn't work, and you have no way to either come on IRC, or send an email from another location, feel free to use our web form. I repeat: Ticket is only for already registered users, who have had a domain hosted on uucpssh for a while.
